Pat has been in the business for several years, holding many positions along the way. Beginning as a lens technician, he continued his education and moved to other positions.
Through his health services business, Pat has provided his expertise in helping many opticians and optometrists throughout Ontario with consulting, site development, staffing and buildouts.
Today Pat welcomes everyone to his new facility which is the culmination of years of knowledge and experience.
Dr. Beth Schellenberg joined Visus Eyewear in 2017. In 2009 she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science from Saint Mary’s University. In 2013, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree on the Dean’s Honour List from the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Schellenberg completed an internship with Omni Eye Specialists in Baltimore, Maryland where she received extensive training in the treatment and management of ocular disease, with an emphasis on glaucoma, diabetes, and cataracts. Dr. Schellenberg has enjoyed practicing in Toronto, Milton and Hamilton. She is a proud member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometry.
Dr. Jordan van der Zalm graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science in Honours Biology in 2013. He received his Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2017 with Honours from the University of Waterloo.
He completed his Ocular Disease and Therapeutics rotation at the John D. Dingell Veterans Hospital in Detroit Michigan where he treated and managed complex cases of eye disease.
Dr. van der Zalm enjoys practicing in Hamilton, Niagara Falls, and Dunnville, and is passionate about golf, hockey and fitness.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Dr. Kathleen Leonard graduated with honours from the Arts & Science Program at McMaster University. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Waterloo.
During her externship in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Leonard developed an interest in treating ocular disease.
She is happy to provide quality optometric care to patients of all ages. Her interests outside of the office include dancing, writing, hiking, and travelling.
